Do Fake Fendi Belts Have Serial Numbers

(1 item)Hi:My Grandmother who lived in CA gave this to my mother in the late 70's possibly 1980 but no later then that. It has never been used and has been in storage for the majority of its life. It is in excellent condition no wear, no damage. I am curious to know if this is indeed what I think it could be, an authentic Fendi clutch? I would be grateful for anyone's help or any tips on how to find out if it is truly authentic. I did call Fendi themselves but they are unwilling to help.

The material is different its like a type of vinyal or something hard like that. So I am very unsure what I have, knowing my Grandmother the way I do, she would not have bought a fake anything knowingly. Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to offer.

Comments., 5 years agowe need to see the inside as well., 5 years agoI could only upload 4 pictures how do I add more?., 5 years agoThere is no serial number this bag was before they began to add the numbers to the insides of the bags. They did not start adding the numbers until after 1980. Which was after my mother was given it., 5 years agotake the last one off and upload a very very clear picture of the inside of all of the information., 5 years agothe one picture to the right take off and replace with the new one of the inside., 5 years agoAll Fendi bags made after the 1980s will have a serial number in them. It will be stamped onto the lining, embossed into a leather tag sewn into an interior side seam or stamped under the interior label. The interior leather label or silver placard will read “Fendi Made In Italy.” The serial number is a 15 to 17 digit number. The middle portion is the art number, which should match its authenticity card if present., 5 years agoThe Spy and Baguette are two of the most popular handbags out there, and are therefore highly replicated.

The hardware Fendi uses is very specific. The ‘FF’ buckle on the classic Baguette bag should be symmetrical, with the arms reaching less than half way across the hardware. The negative space is sometimes seen filled with enamel, mother-of-pearl or exotic skins. The buckles on the side should be engraved ‘FENDI’ as well., 5 years agoFendi uses two types of jacquard canvas, each woven with the ‘FF’ logo, which Lagerfeld originally designed. The larger scale is called ‘Zucca’ while the miniature version is named ‘Zucchino.’ The Fs should never be touching on an authentic piece.

The It bag of the ‘90s, made popular by its multiple appearances on Sex and the City and on the arms of countless celebrities, the Fendi Baguette has come in many different materials and sizes, even a color your own kit., 5 years ago., 5 years agoSorry I cannot help you but it looks as if a few have been able to I hate it when big companies refuse to help out I wonder how they would feel if we refused to buy there products. Good luck., 5 years agoI added the inside photo., 5 years agoTo be honest with you. These are not authentic!!!., 5 years agoHow do you know?., 5 years agoEverything I have read says prior to 1980s they did not add any identifying marks to the inside of their bags. So no numbers, nothing.

So how would you know if it is a fake?., 5 years agowell one thing, I have to say I all I can see is your hand on the inside of the bag, the should be something on the opposite of snap button of the fendi.and in the 1980's they still had something on the inside as well. Maybe not the serial numbers. But there was some kind of metal plaque iding the these fendi pieces. The interior leather label or silver placard will read “Fendi Made In Italy.”., 5 years agoMy hand is on the inside bc I am trying to hold it open. I am sorry for that, the tone of your comment to me is rude, there is no need for that. And as I said this was given in the late 70's but thank you for you help I appreciate the information., 5 years agookay so there are some on etsy listed as 1980's with serial numbers and I had a chat with a gentleman at Neiman Marcus in Newport beach Calif and he says anything 1980-now should have a serial number, yours don't have a serial number for some reason and it should have one.

So either yours is not authentic or it was just made on cut off line date. So im thinking yours is not authentic., 5 years agoOk but this was not made in the 1980's this was given in the late 70's.

Hermes belt

Again thank you for your help and info., 5 years agoand also the Gentleman that works at Neimans says there should still be a idning tag inside the fendi, even if there was no serial number. So from your last picture you have displayed not showing some kind of a 'plaque' iding if it is a fendi. So im say not authentic. Glad I could be of help., 5 years agoyours should still have a plaque inside like this one as listed from the 1970's., 5 years ago., 5 years ago., 5 years agoThank you, I appreciate the links.

Click to expand.USAAROMA111 sells FAKKKKES. He sells really really good replicas. I know because I was just duped last week and since then I have learned ALOT from this board. After you have been suckered, you start investigating (there have been times I been up until 2am to learn the difference between a real and fake). Some stuff to look at- hologram tag must also have a serial number, serial number tag has to be in a certain font, authenticity card also has a certain font, certain bags come in specific color combination with specific hardware.

Do your homework by visiting the websites that sell designer bags that this board has dubbed Authentic. Theres a list. I feel that after looking at a few real ones, you can notice the fakes quicker.

Fendi Belts Buckle

For now I have given up onand will save up to buy from an Authentic website. Lesson learned. Click to expand. It depends on the age/style of the bag. If we're talking about baguettes from the 80's to early 90's, then there was no hologram tag, and the serial number was stamped onto the inside of the bag. However, the font used has remained the same.

A great reference guide for authenticating older Fendi handbags is:However, any bag created in the early 2000's and beyond should have both a hologram serial tag (with serial number) and a leather serial tag. This includes, but is not limited to the following lines: Ostrik, Magic, Spy, IT, B FENDI, Bis Fendi, Palazzo.

Its horrible on, as you know, sometimes even the pictures can be real, but the bag that they send is not. With this bag, the clues are in the description, the price and the seller has very low feedback. The receipts are also pale lemon. The original fendi receipts and letters are so bright as to be almost flourescent! If a deal looks too good to be true, it is ALWAYS because it is.

You should also look at the sellers other items, and then click on their feedback number and see what they have sold recently. (he has sold a fake Fendi B bag too ), that is often a good indication of the tat he is peddling.
